LongReach Scout seed now available for farmer to trade
High yielding wheat variety LongReach Scout is now able to be sold or traded between growers. According to Pacific Seeds Wheat Business Manager, Ben Adams, after much industry consultation Pacific Seeds has great pleasure in offering growers the ability to sell or trade Scout wheat to other growers. “Any grower who has purchased seed from an authorised reseller over the last two years will have the opportunity from this harvest to trade their crop as seed to other growers,” he said. Scout was released in 2009 and has performed exceptionally well across Victoria and South Australia, setting a new yield benchmark. A new licence agreement will be sent to all growers who have purchased seed from an authorised reseller over the last two years detailing this exciting new change. “All that is required is that the seller completes a Sales Declaration form, which will be included in the letter, detailing the purchasing grower’s details and return this to Pacific Seeds so they can be registered,” Mr Adams said. Purchasing grower details required include name, address, contact details, variety traded and tonnage. Documents related to Scout farmer to farmer below Scout - Grower Agreement
